Kelly的新專輯《Piece By Piece》3/2要在美國發行了
這張專輯中有許多Kelly參與創作的歌
最近釋出了幾首新單曲
像是第一波Heartbeat Song和Invincible
和奪下九次葛萊美的歌手John Legend合唱的Run Run Run
還有這首同名主打歌Piece By Piece

雖然Heartbeat Song已經受到了許多歡迎
也擠上了billboard100排名上
但我聽完後覺得算是滿普通的一首歌
就是照著流行歌公式走
不斷重複歌名的副歌+琅琅上口的旋律
如果今天這首歌是個小咖來唱或許會比較合理
但像是Kelly這種鐵肺級的實力歌手
總覺得該唱些更高難度的歌啊
即使是要打造主打的芭樂歌也該像是前幾張的
My Life Would Suck Without You
或是 Catch My Breath
記憶點會比較高一些
因為有點失望所以我並沒有馬上翻那首

但是這首Piece By Piece!!!
我一聽到就好喜歡!!!
雖然一開始以為像Never Again一樣是寫給前男友
但原來這首歌是寫給爸爸的


我最喜歡的一句:
But your love, it isn't free, it has to be earned
Back then I didn't have anything you needed so I was worthless
我覺得這句寫得好好~
雖然很簡單
但是我能夠感受到她唱著過去的無力
以及在父親面前毫無事處的自卑感
對於孩子來說 如果沒有被家人認同
是連自己也會開始懷疑起自己的

Kelly的父母在她6歲時就離婚
此後她就和哥哥姊姊分開 與媽媽同住
所以可能對於父親這個角色沒有信任感

但現在的她已經有了完整的家庭
她在2013年和經紀人的兒子Brandon Blackstock結了婚
在去年6月生下女兒
現在的老公治癒了過去男友和父親帶給她的傷痕
讓她對愛情和家庭重拾信心
她一定是想告訴大家現在的她過得很幸福吧
